New Summer Flip Flop Designs

I promise that I am still around. I have been busy painting our home, and keeping our summer bound girls busy and happy. In between all of the chaos, I have been crocheting new flip flop designs. I just finished the Party Cupcake Flip Flops today. They are my absolute favorite and are already available in my Etsy store. You can find them HERE.

I hand sewn little Swarovski crystal beads onto the cupcakes for a little bit of sparkly sprinkle accent fun.

The next pair I created just in time for the Fourth of July. They are the Patriotic Stars Flip Flops and are a size 10/11 in little girls. You can find them in my Etsy store HERE.

These I Heart You flip flops are already sold and lasted about 4 minutes in my Etsy store last week. :) They turned out super cute I think.

And last, but certainly not least, are the Chevron Flower Flip Flops. These were also listed in my Etsy store last week and lasted about 4 minutes before they were sold as well. They turned out very colorful and fun.

New Flower Flip Flops

This week one of my dear customers mailed a few pairs of flip flops for me to customize. She told me to surprise her so I had a bit of fun embellishing these.
The first one had peace signs all over them. I decided to put peace signs into the centers of the flowers.

I think they turned out really groovy, don't you think?
The next pair was leopard print. I crocheted red flowers for these and sewed a pair of leopard printed buttons onto them.

I think these turned out beautiful and are my new favorites!

Dabbling a Little Here and a Little There

I recently found a great idea on a lovely blog I frequent a lot. I have a pair of bird sewing scissors that are sometimes uncomfortable to use. They leave indentations around my fingers. I don't use them often because of this reason...until now! I found this BRILLIANT idea to crochet grips around the finger holes on the scissors at One Sheepish Girl.

I adore the colors coral and pink together so I decided to use those colors for the grips. Now they are super comfy to use and pretty too!
I also finished a cute pair of flip flops for a dear customer of mine late last week that I have been meaning to share.

They are a gift for her neighbor who is a friend of her teenage daughter. I call these Lavender Fields and I really like the colors on this one. They turned out very nice.

She is Growing Too Fast!

Today is Xiera's 9th birthday. I surprised her this morning with a bouquet of colorful daisies and donuts for her and her cousins that stayed over for a slumber party.
On Saturday we celebrated her birthday early with family and friends. She wanted a Powerpuff Girl birthday party so we went with the theme and had a bit of fun with it.

We had her cake made by out local bakery, Brittany's Cakes. I think they did a wonderful job!

For games, Xiera drew Blossom on a poster board and we played Pin the Bow on Blossom.

We then ventured outside to try and break open the ice cream piñata.

Xiera's cousin Kailyn broke it open.

The children wasted no time grabbing up all of the candy.

Afterwards we went indoors to eat and be silly with family and friends.

Soon it was time to unwrap gifts. She received some wonderful gifts.

Happy Birthday Xiera! You are my sunshine and you light up my life each and every day! I love you!
