From Generation to Generation

Today at craft time I decided I would teach the girls how to crochet. I wanted to teach them a simple chaining technique so we made bracelets. Xiera caught on really well! I only helped her to put on the buttons that she chose. I also helped to make the end loop and to sew on the button to fasten the bracelet together. It was a little hard to explain because I am left handed and the girls are both right handed. I figured out that by being across from them while explaining was a lot easier because they could mirror what I was doing.

Zella lost interest almost instantly and decided that counting buttons and making them talk to each other was more fun. :)

And here is Xiera's finished bracelet!

I think it turned out rather cute! And it looks really adorable on her too!

A Cute Custom Cloche

I finished this adorable custom stripe cloche style hat today for a beloved customer of mine! These are the pair of Ugg boots that inspired the design.

I just love how it turned out so much that I went ahead and made one for myself and listed one in my Etsy store! You can find it HERE.

Stopping to Smell the Sweet Smell

Just another sneak peak of my latest design! I snapped a few pics of Xiera wearing it this morning before I mailed it out to be modeled.

A Sweet Little Peak and My Brave Girl

Roses are Red...

Violets are to be continued... ;)

Xiera has been wanting to get her ears pierced for a little while now so yesterday at our trip to the mall we took her to do just that. She was so excited!
Once we got there the manager had told us that the other girl had gone home for the day so instead of having two girls to pierce at the same time; there was only one. I told her that she would feel two pinches instead of just one and her response was, "I don't care! I want pretty earrings!" Here is a before pic! Just look at that anxious and excited smile!

Then it was time to get the placement dots.

Here comes the first one..

And now the second..

Can you believe she didn't even cry at all? Two piercings later and look at that smile and those pretty pink sparkly flower earrings!

I am just so proud of my big brave girl!

I just finished this vintage inspired white lace shrug for Wisterialane's Vintage Chic themed launch. This is a One of a Kind design and will not be duplicated (unless I get the courage to make another for my own girls or even for myself as it turned out so lovely!) I plan on listing it on Ebay this week with a reserved price so stay tuned!
Just look at all of the detail!
