Our Christmas Eve

The girls have been helping me with the baking and the cooking the past couple of days. We made Chocolate Chip Cookies, No Bake Cookies, Chocolate Pretzel Candies, Gingerbread Cookies, and Fruit Salad.
Xiera was my BIG helper when making the chocolate pretzel candy treats.

Zella was in charge of the M&M's and Hersery Kisses, sneaking a few bites here and there. ;)

We visited my parents tonight for Christmas Eve. Xiera and Zella loved my parents Choo Choo Train ornament. When you turn on the switch it plays the tune to Jingle Bells and the train goes around and around on the track inside.

Zella was really impressed with Grandma's Manger Scene. (The True meaning of Christmas!) ;)

Xiera loved making her new Tink doll fly while watching her New Tinkerbell movie.

We then went and drove around the neighborhood Oooooing and Awwwwing over the neighbor's Christmas lights.

Merry Christmas Everyone and many blessings from our home to yours!

Bright Eyed Good Morning and a Doggy Sneak Peak

Zella says Good Morning!!!!! ;)

Last night I FINALLY finished the doggy diva halter I was talking about in an earlier post. I made it for a special Shar Pei doggy customer of mine. ;) This is my first time designing clothing for a diva pup so I am a bit nervous. I checked the measurements over and over again so I have my fingers crossed that it fits perfectly and can't wait to see pics of Miss Roxy wearing her very own mini me. I will definitely be sharing the pics with all of you so please keep checking back! ;) I don't want to reveal it completely yet, so here are a few sneak peeks! ;)

And here is a pretty Pink Rose collar I made to match. ;) A girl needs to accessorize of course!

Snow Trails

In between crocheting the pretty flower custom hats yesterday, I took Xiera and Zella outside to play in the snow. Zella's snowsuit restricted a lot of her movement. It was quite amusing to watch her waddle in the snow. She couldn't pick her feet completely up while walking so she made little snow trails with her feet.

Zella didn't find it very amusing at all! Her expressions say it all! LOL!

Sorry We're Closed But Busy

I officially closed up my myspace shop and am not taking anymore orders until after the holidays. I will begin taking orders again on the 1st of January. I am just swimming in Christmas orders and loving it. The pressure is on, but don't worry, I work well under pressure.

This was the week of hats. Hats, hats and more hats! I have had a lot of custom orders I finished this week! Here are just a few of the hats I have made this week. This red and cream version of my Candy Gingerbread Man hat turned out very cute. I actually took 2 more orders yesterday for this particular hat.

The button initial hats are very popular this year. I have made them in a lot of color combinations. Here are just a few I made this week.

And last but certainly not least is this gorgeous lavender rose on creme hat I made for a beloved customer. I am in love with the way this hat turned out. It is just so delicate and lovely.

I have a few more custom hats to work on today and then it is on to sweaters and a doggy diva halter. Yep you heard right! A Doggy Halter!!!! So stay tuned! ;)

A Visit With Santa

I took the girls to go see Santa on Saturday. Before we left I had to take a few quick pics of the girls in their adorable reindeer dresses made by Kim of 1976cook on Ebay. She has the cutest pillowcase dresses! The piggy poofs were made by my dear friend Jeanine of Monkey Cheek Boutique.

The pink fur cuffs were crocheted by yours truly. They are removable and can be made in a variety of colors! They are very stretchy because I crocheted pony tail O's into them. I had to pin Zella's onto her shirt because she was not a fan of them. Hers came off immediately after these pics. Xiera loved hers and kept them on all night.

Zella to no surprise was not thrilled with the idea of sitting on some strange elderly man's lap and gave me "the look" as if to say, "You better be sitting with me mommy!" LOL! Xiera on the other hand was ecstatic. She was so funny on Santa's lap. She said, "Santa, I want Fur Berries and Little Lovables, Fill 'Em With Love!" Then once we said our goodbye's to Santa, she told me she was mad because she forget to tell Santa she wanted the Barbie Diamond Castle with all the dolls, Horse and Carriage. I told her that Daddy and I would text Santa and let him know right away. ;)

Santa even brought his sleigh and the girls LOVED sitting inside of it! Zella didn't want to get out of Santa's sleigh and made sure to let everyone there know it. ;)

I just sent these adorable Cuppy Cake hats off to be modeled! I made the first one to match my Cupcake Purse I have in my Etsy Store and the second one matches the new Gymboree Sweeter Than Chocolate Line. Aren't they so yummy?

A large flock of birds visited our backyard this morning. Right when we went to grab the camera they all started to fly, so we snapped this quick shot! Enjoy!

Lovely Pink and Brown and the Alternate Gingerbread Man

2 more customs are all finished and on their way to their happy new homes!!
I really love how this halter turned out! I am such a fan of pink and brown together! It reminds me of a bowl full of yummy Neapolitan ice cream. What is really cool is that it can be worn a number of ways. Either with a shirt underneath or without and it fits a number of ages. It fits both Zella and Xiera! I added a little ruffle to the bottom of the leg warmers to match the halter too. ;)

I just finished this little guy today for another beloved customer of mine!

It is the alternate green and white version to my Candy Gingerbread Man hat design.

I think it turned out so cute!

Loveland Avenue Contest

My friend Sally of Loveland Avenue who is also an AMAZING designer is having a really neat contest that I wanted to share! If I didn't already have dresses for the girls to wear for Christmas I would TOTALLY participate! We are proud owners of one of her BEAUTIFUL creations, and I have to say her work is impeccable! Don't forget to check out her BLOG for all the details on the contest!

First of all she has this adorable Euro Penguin Dress listed on Ebay.

Whom ever places the most bids on this adorable dress wins the cute crochet candy cane newsboy style hat. You don't have to win the dress to win the hat! You only have to be the bidder who left the most bids! I wish I could say I made that adorable hat, but I didn't. ;)

Next is this absolutely BEAUTIFUL Christmas Market Santa Dress!

Whomever places the most bids for this will win a custom girls or boys lounge set. Once again you do not have to win the dress auction to win the lounge set. Just place the most bids on the dress and you win the the lounge set!

What a fun little contest!! So bid away and have lots of fun!!

The Closeness of Sisters, Random Pictures

This past Wednesday was my birthday and the girls and I dressed all in pink with our cupcake headbands made by Janissa of JM Baby Boutique. Hubby took us all out for breakfast and we spent most of the day outdoors enjoying the beautiful warm Indian Summer weather we were having.
I just love sitting back and watching the girls play. There is such a special bond and closeness between sisters.

It saddens me how fast they are growing yet at the same time it is so bitter sweet.

Day by day we build memories that we will cherish for a lifetime!

I love Zella's sweet laughter and the way she looks at the world with those big blue wide curious eyes.

I love Xiera's Adventurous Spirit. She is always so spontaneous and assertive with everything she sets her mind to.

I can see myself in both of them. But I also see qualities within them that set them apart from myself and each other making them special and unique individuals.

Lindsay
